What we offer
PACE Advice was opened in May 2004. We are located at 19-20 Baxter Gate, Loughborough, LE11 1TG.
The opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10.00am - 4.00pm.
The PACE Advice office is professional, yet warm and inviting, with private interview rooms to ensure confidentiality for more delicate matters. Being centrally located close to the town centre we are ideally placed to be visible and accessible to all.
Information, advice and guidance
We offer an information, advice and guidance service specialising in the area of debt, but are also able to signpost service users to a local source of help for other issues. Our goal is to provide a warm and professional environment where clients can come and know that they will receive the best possible quality care and advice. We offer a holistic approach to those who seek our help by:
- looking at the person as a whole, and not just their immediate need
- helping clients to seek help for a range of problems, where necessary
- providing someone to stand beside them in their hour of need, even visiting other agencies with them if that is what they require
- being an advocate for them - helping their voice to be heard
Since PACE Advice opened, our specialist debt advice service has continued to develop in response to the overwhelming need within our community. Once a client has asked for assistance we typically help them to establish their level of debt and then seek to manage this debt by contacting their creditors on their behalf and establishing an adjusted payment schedule. We then continue to support clients throughout the time that they are reducing their debts and encourage them to establish new ways of managing their money, thus educating them in a better way forward.
In conjunction with this service Phil Weaver has developed an exciting new resource called ‘On Track’ - an educational tool which allows clients to learn how to manage finance and enter into a journey to financial freedom. We have just completed our first trial of this course and you can find out more by following the link on the right to On Track.
PACE is a partner of Charnwood Connect’s Knowledge Hub. Charnwood Connect is a two-year partnership project set up to strengthen and improve access to advice and information services in Charnwood for local people.
