AOK 5000

App

AOK 5000 is a unique community initiative. It has the sole aim of assisting and supporting everyday people and households within the Borough of Charnwood (and slightly beyond), who might be facing real financial pressures over the up and coming winter period through the cost of living crisis.

With the cost of living rapidly rising, at the pump, in the supermarkets and of course heating and lighting the home, a rising number of normal hard working households are genuinely concerned about how they are going to cope and get through. They are caught in what is commonly known as ‘the middle squeeze.’

AOK 5000 is here to help by providing winter hampers, community meals, children’s items, provisions for the elderly and a raft of helpful information that will help them in this season and beyond.

What does the name stand for?

‘AOK’ literally stands for ‘Acts Of Kindness’ The aim is to give up to 5000 winter hampers away to ordinary families who are genuinely feeling the ‘financial squeeze’. This is not an emergency food parcel service.

When will this take place?

AOK 5000 will run between Thursday December 1st 2022 to Saturday April 8th 2023.

Where is the target area?

AOK 5000 is open to residents who live in the Borough of Charnwood (and maybe slightly beyond).

Who is Eligible?

Anyone who lives in the Charnwood Borough and maybe slightly beyond. Of course, there is an application\referral process but nothing too complicated.

If you are part of a charity AOK 5000 may well benefit your service users. If you have customers or have a business of your own with employees, AOK is there for all.
